Simply email yourself the "Anki Collection Package" file.
Save the "Anki Collection Package" file to your computer, as this is the file your mobile device will utilize for Anki. When inside of Anki, choose "File" then "Export" in the top left corner of the window. Because the Anki deck file is already created, this is a quick process. To begin studying the deck you created on your computer with your mobile device, you must export the deck. Just click on the deck which you desire to study and begin flipping through them. That's it! The deck is now created and you may begin studying your cards. Press "OK" when finished and then the Import button from the first window. The "New deck name:" window is where you'll type the desired name of the deck you wish to create. After clicking "Add", you'll be prompted to a third smaller window. In the back window you'll see "Default" beside the work "Deck." Click on the word "Default" to open the second window named "Choose Deck."īecause we are creating a new deck, we want to click on "Add" in the bottom right corner.

Then the follow windows will appear before you from back to front. Choose "File", "Import", then select the file name of the text file you created. When in Anki, look in the top left corner of the window. From the list of options, select "UTF-8" and save the file. Look for "Encoding:" as shown in the picture above. Open up the Unicode Text file from the location which you saved it.Ĭhoose the "File" then "Save as" options located within the text file.
